This week I have been working on 12 days of christmas but the kiwi version. I made it myself.I found this very fun and easy we did not have to be in buddys.

For maths this week we have done something else. We have done top 10 or 5 world's disasters. I picked tsunamis. I found this hard because we had to work in buddies and also write about what happened in our own words. Finally we are finished

Literacy Week 5 Term 4

For Literacy this week I have still continued myths and legends. I finished task 5 and 12. This is task 5 we had to write a myth or a legend that you have read about and put it in your own words I choose maui and the sun. I found these tasks easy.

Also I did task 12. We had to write an acrostic poem that suites myths and legends. I choose Micheal Jackson.

The work on this slide is what I have been doing for maths past the term. My favorite fraction work would be adding fractions because it's fun and easy.

This week I have been learning how to change boring words into funner words. I found this activity fun. I had to do this with a partner. 

30BC The BFG

As The BFG begins, Sophie lies in bed in an orphanage, unable to sleep. She creeps to the curtains to shut them against the moonlight. It is the Witching Hour, the time when everything is quiet and still, and she is curious about what the world looks like at this time. She sticks her head outside and sees a giant walking toward her carrying a suitcase and a huge, trumpet-like object. He puts something into the trumpet and inserts it into a window. Then he looks up and sees Sophie watching.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars .

Book Week 2016 reflection

Book week 2016 

This week we had book week. Everyday this week we had a golden ticket that got hid sadly I didn't find one also on monday our class made a awesome door display. Our two door displays where The BFG and Charlie And The Chocolate Factory. We had turbolet thursday that was very weird. Everyone also dressed up funny and silly  and wacky I had two watches and different colored socks. Today on friday we dressed up into are favorite  book character. I dressed up as jack hawkins off treasure island my friend came as I need a new bum. Our school has book character day once a year. I find book character very fun. Here are some photos

Reflection Term 3 Week 3 Numeracy

Numeracy

For maths we have been leaning fractions. My W.A.L.T is convert improper and mixed fractions and my other W.A.L.T is find fractions of whole numbers. I found this easy because I know some stuff about fractions.

Olympics

I learnt from this that ancient and modern olympics have a lot of things that are different. I have been researching and reading. 

I found this hard because we also had to go on the internet and read and watch so. This is what me and my buddy Anna did.

Reflection Week 9 Term 2

Literacy 
This week we worked on making a speech for speech board the class had to plan how their speech is going to be set up. I made my speech on my dad's job 

Numeracy 
This is my numeracy follow up. I had to be in a group of three. We had to work out how much it would cost for a dog. I found this easy. 

PrEP
This is prEP, I think prEP is awesome you can sign up to different jobs. I signed up for bank I love bank but you need to be smart. Here is a photo of us.

For numeracy this week we had to go on Khan Academy
and watch videos. We learnt about basic multiplication. Basic multiplication is your 4's 3's and 2's times tables.

Reflection Week 7 Term 2

Writing
For writing this week we had to make a show not tell. A show not tell is a piece of writing that you have write down and tell a feeling but not showing it. The other person had to guess what it is. Here is mine please comment and tell me if you can guess it








Reading
For reading we had to pick the main events of a story that the teacher read to us the story was charlotte's web. Ask your teacher to read it to you.

Numeracy

Here is my khan academy  numeracy follow up I learnt how to use multiplication easier like 5x5=25. I think you should do this.

Reflection Term 2 week6

Reading

This week I learnt how to write a newspaper article. We had to make up our own article so I wrote about a homeless man finding a lottery ticket and winning a lot of  money.

Writing

For writing we had to make our own newspaper article.And we went onto kiwi kids news to get our article to write about then we picked the main parts of the article and wrote it down on the doc.

Numeracy
 For maths this week we used reversibility to solve subtraction problems.I found subtraction  much easier now that I can add.

Shantytown
On Thursday two women from shantytown came to our school. We had a lesson with them I learnt about New Zealand's history and bartering. Another name for bartering is trading we had to barter/trade our stuff to different colchas. When we walked through the door they gave us different customs. We all had a part in their play they made for us.
